Glenn has over 18 years of experience in aircraft charter, leasing and management.  His career in aviation started when he joined ACC Aviation in 2004 and he was instrumental in helping the company grow and become one of the top 5 global aircraft brokerages. He has worked on a wide variety of leasing and air charter projects all around the world, from becoming a successful ACMI leasing broker he then led the diversification of ACC Aviation into the adhoc and corporate charter markets. Glenn built a wealth of knowledge across all areas of the aviation business, from his hands-on commercial brokering experience to being part of the management team who carried out an equity backed MBO of the company. Prior to his aviation career, Glenn gained a BA Honours degree from the University of London in History and Geography and held roles in a major utilities provider and a retail company. Having joined The Air Charter Association in 2008, Glenn has been a supporter of the important role the association has in the future of the industry and was elected to the Board in 2017. He has chaired the Training and Events Committee, played a key role in creating of the Broker Qualification course and was elected as Deputy Chair in 2020 prior to taking on his current role as Chief Executive in 2021.

Julie Ellis has been in the aviation industry for over 22 years. Her career started in the Communications department of aircraft manufacturer ATR in Toulouse before she moved to the UK. There, she became an aircraft spares broker with AJ Walter Aviation Ltd looking after a customer base of French airlines and dealing with AOGs. In 2000, Julie joined Air Partner plc as a Private Jet broker, which remained her speciality for the following 20 years. Within that time, Julie developed a loyal customer base and got involved in a wide variety of missions including helicopter flights, medical repatriations, Royal flights and roadshows. She enjoyed training and mentoring new brokers and was also a key member of the JetCard team from its inception. Julie joined the Air Charter Association in 2022 and is looking forward to developing its Training division further.

Daniel is currently Global Cargo Director at CharterSync where he is responsible for the brokerage team and global operations for the digitally enabled cargo charter broker, having joined the company in 2022 after 18 years in the UK team at Chapman Freeborn.  During his 23 year career in cargo charter, Daniel has managed a huge and wide range of diverse air charter projects supporting commercial, military and humanitarian clients as well as coordinating a large number of long term leasing projects.  Daniel is relishing the opportunity he has been given at CharterSync to bring his wide experience to a new and ground-breaking company which is reimagining the art and science of air cargo chartering.

Will Fanshawe founded Halo Aviation in 2009 to specialise in the management and charter of Agusta helicopters. Having grown the company to be one of the larger corporate operations in the UK, Halo was acquired by Flexjet in 2020 along with New York S76 operator, AAG. Shortly after, Flexjet announced the launch of its Vertical Lift Division and an order for 200 EVE eVTOL aircraft from Embraer. In January, Halo rebranded as Flexjet Helicopters to develop its fractional helicopter programme in Europe and to support Flexjet’s global fixed wing operation. Will has been flying professionally for over 30 years and regularly escapes the office to fly the company’s S76 and AW109 helicopters.

Michael Jupp is Chief Pilot for Castle Air's base at London Biggin Hill Airport. Day-to-day his job involves flying the line as a charter helicopter pilot and managing a team of pilots based at the airport. Castle Air operates the London Heli shuttle, offering a six-minute trip to London Battersea heliport from London Biggin Hill. They fly the route multiple times per day, offering the fastest touchdown to downtown of any London airport.

Jordan Smith joined the air charter industry in 2016 as Flight Support Officer for SaxonAir. He moved into the company’s rotary charter division in 2017 and is now Head of Ground Operations. In 2022 he joined The Air Charter Association’s NextGen group alongside his day job. The group is a team of young industry professionals, all under the age of 35, created to help shape the industry’s future, showcasing the many and varied careers the industry has to offer.

Alana Burns has been in the aviation industry for almost 20 years. Coming from a private banking background, Alana joined Atlas Helicopters in 2003 in Operations, to help improve Customer Service levels and increase the high-net-worth client base. In 2007, she became General Manager for Atlas Helicopters and helped drive the company forward to become one of the leading charter companies in the UK. In 2019 Alana took on the role of Safety Manager and in 2020 was promoted to Operations Director. With the helicopter charter industry being relatively small within the UK, Alana is a firm believer in collaboration with other helicopter charter companies, working towards improving not only service levels but also safety.

Maureen presently serves as the Sustainability & Future Workforce Manager at EBAA. Being a dual-qualified lawyer, (in France and England/Wales) she previously held various legal roles in London – at The Air Law Firm where she covered aircraft transactions, finance, and management and more recently at Borealis Maritime Limited where she focused on asset finance and corporate transactions. In 2018, Maureen was selected by EBAA for the 2018 One Young World summit and subsequently co-founded the STARS label. Her training includes roles at Dassault Falcon Jet in New York and Airbus Miami.

Nicola-Jane Sellers is a transformational leader and change advocate. Since 2015, her professional career combined the holistic worlds of luxury hospitality with civil aviation, and efforts were later directed towards corporate jet charter specialism for the globally renowned and industry-leading business jet management firm, Luxaviation. In recent years, Nicola-Jane’s interest in Sustainability quickly developed into a deep-routed passion. Since her contributions as a board member for the ACA’s NextGen and Sustainability and Innovation Group, linear action was simultaneously spurred. As a successful graduate of two executive courses at Cambridge’s Judge Business School and the Institute for Sustainability Leadership in 2022, Nicola-Jane continues to lead transition after recently being appointed as Group Sustainability Manager for Luxaviation.

Laura has held the position of global marketing manager for five years with responsibility for the company’s global marketing activity in general, business and commercial aviation. This includes marketing the company’s low carbon agenda to maintain Air bp’s industry leadership in this area. Prior to that she held the position of global marketing offer development manager for five years where she was responsible for marketing value adding offers for commercial airlines, general aviation and the military.

Nancy has more than 15 years of experience as a strategist in voluntary markets for sustainability, implementing then-new but now commonplace concepts such as offsets and carbon accounting. Nancy specializes in areas such as business aviation, building corporate portfolios and launching consumer carbon emissions offset programs. During her time as a senior manager at carbon offset provider TerraPass and as a consultant to such organizations as the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, The Good Traveler and the Rocky Mountain Institute, Nancy built one of the nation’s first offset providers and developed innovative, first-of-their-kind programs in corporate aviation, shipping and commercial travel. Nancy also serves on the advisory board of Climate Neutral and Pips Rewards. Her passion for aviation and its sustainable future brings a unique understanding for a robust roadmap for climate success for the private aviation community.

Chris is the owner of MaceAero, a central London based private aviation company with its own aircraft portfolio for both charter and sales, alongside providing solutions for prospective owners and sellers of aircraft and helicopters in the business aviation sector. Having started flying from an early age, Chris gained his pilot’s licence at the age of just 17 and has spent over 25 years in the aviation industry. He initially started a flying school and air taxi business before going on to manage the largest onshore helicopter operator of its time, subsequently setting up SaxonAir in 2007.  Chris helped steer SaxonAir through 12 years of growth to establish as one of the UK’s leading air charter and management operators, as well as establishing an FBO and dedicated offshore logistical centre for the energy industry in East Anglia. Chris also chairs The ACA’s Sustainability & Innovation Group.

Andy Smith is Head of Sustainability Strategy for Loganair, on the airline’s journey to net zero by 2040. With more than 20 years of experience in Aviation, Andy specialises in airline network planning, fleet evaluations and revenue management. Andy is currently the Head of Sustainability Strategy at Loganair Limited - the largest regional airline in the UK. Andy leads Loganair’s numerous industry projects developing zero carbon solutions for next generation commercial aircraft. Before joining Loganair, Andy held leading positions in companies such British Airways, Starbow, Cardiff Aviation and has worked both with aviation start-ups and corporates.

Steve Mckenna is the director of sales and marketing for Pipistrel Aircraft, the manufacturer of sustainably powered light aircraft and gliders and the pioneer behind the Velis Electro, the only EASA certified electric aircraft in the world to date. In March 2022, Textron Inc. announced its intention to acquire Pipistrel. Textron eAviation, a new business segment of Textron was developed to expand Pipistrel as a subsidiary.  

Steve is responsible for all product sales, special missions, marketing and business development activities at Pipistrel. Working in aviation for 23 years, Steve previously held roles at Textron Aviation as regional sales director covering piston, turboprop and citation products where he developed strategic sales across many regions.  Most recently as the European Pre-owned aircraft sales director for all Textron Aviation products.  

Prior to joining Textron Aviation, Steve held the role of sales manager for the UK’s authorized Cessna representative Patriot Aviation Group where he was responsible for overseeing the sales of piston and turboprop aircraft. During this period, Steve successfully led the sales of the UK’s first Garmin G1000 equipped Grand Caravan whereby large volumes of propeller aircraft were also sold.  

Passionate about aviation, Steve holds an FAA-certified commercial pilots license and was an authorized demonstration pilot at Textron Aviation for piston aircraft.He started his career in 2000 when he joined CSE Aviation as an aircraft maintenance technician where he developed an interest in sales, joining CSE Aircraft Sales in 2005 as a sales executive for Cessna pistons and Cessna Caravans for the UK.

He has nearly 20 years experience in working in strategic communications and policy with both disruptors and established companies on clean technology and sustainability initiatives, in a career split equally between the UK and U.S.


Prior to joining ZeroAvia, Dominic headed up the technology practice at strategic communications consultancy Madano. He is a graduate of the University of Oxford with a degree in English Language and Literature.

Rachel has a strong background in aviation, science and technology and has worked in senior leadership roles in IBM, the UK Space Agency, the CAA and Connected Places Catapult. She has always had a keen interest in aviation, obtaining her Commercial Pilot Licence and has flown privately in 4 continents.

Alex Harrington has 25years of aviation experience working across Cargo, Commercial and Private aviation in various different roles since 1998. Starting as a Cargo broker and then moving into Commercial aviation at Air Partner. Alex enjoyed 13years at Air Partner before leaving to join CAE to be a Regional Sales Manager (Europe). Alex’s primary responsibility was selling pilot training (Initial or recurrent) courses throughout CAE’s network of training centers to private jet operators and the performance of his region against targets.

Alex then joined Titan Airways, a passenger and cargo charter operator in 2014 as Business Development Manger, before being promoted to Commercial Director in 2018. In his role as Commercial Director he leads the commercial team in management of current contracts, searching for new opportunities and assisting with the fleet and business strategy of the airline. 

Alex firmly believes in the founding principle of the airline that “we only promise something we can deliver” which applies to our employees, clients and suppliers. Titan Airways celebrates it’s 35thanniversary this year.

Yannick Monreal joined Jet Aviation in 2019 as Charter Sales Director, based in Zurich. He is responsible for working closely with operators, brokers and direct clients to develop the charter services offered in EMEA. Yannick has re-built his sales team to explore new sales channels for charter services and to develop new programs to grow Jet Aviation’s charter palette. His focus is to utilise the managed charter fleet and closely collaborate with Jet Aviation’s other lines of business to provide clients with a seamless one-stop shop experience. Yannick has more than ten years of experience in the aviation industry. Prior to joining Jet Aviation, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business studies for Freight Forwarding and Logistics, and worked in charter sales for German aviation companies.

Emily has spent almost 20 years in the private aviation industry. After graduating from Cambridge University she began her career in advertising at Ogilvy & Mather. It was a natural progression on to Sales and Emily’s aviation career began at NetJets Europe a few years later. She spent ten years there, leading the UK team and latterly as the Board Sales Director for the European business. With a strong focus on delivering the customer’s needs and wants, balanced with the rigorous Berkshire Hathaway ten-year planning process, it was an excellent grounding for starting a business. In 2015 Emily joined forces with her former NetJets colleague, Nicolas Imrie, and they founded IW Aviation. IWA provides totally independent private aviation advice and works with a range of customers from private individuals to global PLCs. The IWA team provides full analysis of their client’s aviation needs and then go on to manage a portfolio solution of day to day flying ranging from ad hoc charter, through to fractional contracts with all the major providers and on to whole aircraft ownership.
